The Division of Malaria Control (DOMC) in Kenya has the responsibility to monitor Kenya's National Malaria Strategy (KNMS) success towards its stated targets, work in collaboration with national partners to identify ways to measure its intended goal achievement, and actively solicit and advocate research to refine strategic approaches. The monitoring and evaluation is guided by the Monitoring & Evaluation Technical Working Group, which comprises of various partners. This group guides the revision of the National Malaria strategy.
PSI-Kenya is a leading global health organization with programs targeting malaria, child survival, HIV, and reproductive health. Working in partnership within the public and private sectors and harnessing the power of the markets, PSI provides life-saving products, clinical services and behavioral change communications that empower the world's most vulnerable populations to lead healthier lives. PSI works closely with the Government in the distribution of nets. The Health Ministry has the Division of Malaria Control which monitors and controls the spread of malaria.
The Ministry of Health & Sanitation in Sierra Leone has integrated a maternal and child health campaign planned for November 2010. The campaign provides an ideal opportunity for the country to rapidly go to scale with malaria prevention for the population at risk while protecting the entire population from the effects of Vitamin A deficiency and intestinal worms. To achieve this, households will be provided with three LLINs in the 2010 campaign.
The Health Sanitation and Medical Services of Kenya will ensure adequate monitoring and evaluation of the strategic approaches to malaria prevention and control as outlined in the KNMS. The government will promote targeted, operational research that supports the implementation of the KNMS and will provide effective channels of communication between control and research communities.

The mission of the National Malaria Control Programme is to free Nigerians from the scourge of Malaria through Leadership and Coordination Developing Policies, Strategies and Guidelines that would ensure the delivery of High Impact Malaria Intervention equitably with a high sense of Accountability. Their global strategies for malaria control include prompt and effective case management, intermittent preventive treatment of malaria in pregnancy and integrated vector management including Use of Insecticide Treated Nets (ITNs), Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) and Environmental Management.
